Mark R. Sandri
Mark focuses his practice on matters concerning real-estate, business disputes, tax controversies, employment law, and general civil litigation. He also has substantial experience in issues concerning mortgage foreclosure, debtor/creditor issues, probate, elder abuse, landlord/tenant, consumer protection, and personal injury. He has also assisted clients with a host of environmental matters, including cleanup and cost-recovery under state and federal environmental statutes. He has counseled property owners on a variety of litigation matters, including property taxes, boundary line disputes, real-estate contract disputes, construction defects, lien foreclosures, and insurance claims. He is admitted to practice in Oregon and represents clients in state and federal courts. He has briefed and argued cases before the Oregon Appellate Court, tried cases in both state and federal court, and litigated tax matters in both state and federal court.
Mark began his legal career doing insurance defense and subrogation work in Chicago, Illinois. After moving to Portland in 2007, he began working at a tax and estate planning firm in Portland. From there, he worked in-house for a real-estate investment company, where he conducted and managed a real-estate litigation portfolio in jurisdictions across the country. He began working at the Chenoweth Law Group in the spring of 2016.
In resolving conflicts, Mark is committed to fully understanding his clients’ backgrounds and goals so that he can work with them to provide thorough and cost-effective solutions. He believes that an attorney-client relationship is at its best when both attorney and client understand the risks, benefits, and processes that will best achieve the clients’ goals.
When he’s not at work or spending time with his wife and two children, Mark can found running through the streets and trails of Portland or walking his dog.
