The incident began when an 89-year-old Oregon man returned home from shopping to discover that someone had stolen his 1991 Thunderbird. The driver, a 35-year-old man who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, was carrying two passengers when he stole the vehicle.

The man is seeking $3 million to compensate for a long period of pain, suffering and emotional trauma. The man's lawyer claims the sexual abuse has taken a toll on the man's present-day relationships.

A Florida-based fruit company is targeting health officials in Oregon after what it considered to be a hasty and unfounded investigation accusing the company of being responsible for an outbreak of salmonella.
